Agar Gel Immunodiffusion (AGID) Kit Development

Agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID) test is a precipitation reaction of soluble antigens and antibodies in agar gels. If the antigen and antibody correspond, and the ratio is appropriate, a white precipitation line can be formed at the meeting point, which is a positive reaction. The precipitation line is a group of specific complexes of antigen and antibody. When there are several different groups of antigens and antibodies in agar, each of them will form independent precipitation lines at appropriate sites according to the difference of their diffusion rate. Agar gel immunodiffusion test has two basic types: single immunodiffusion test and double immunodiffusion test.

AGID Kit Development

With the spread of various infectious animal diseases all over the world, it has brought a huge impact on the social economy. In order to control the epidemic of infectious animal diseases, it is necessary to develop a rapid and high-throughput screening method for animal diseases. AGID is a simple and economical serological test with high specificity and sensitivity, it is not only used for the diagnosis of animal diseases, but also for the analysis of antigenic components in a wide range of applications.

BioVenic is a supplier of biological reagents and kits, and has been developing diagnostic reagents for animal viruses for many years. Our goal is to be a great company that improves the health and well-being of pets and livestock. We have a professional team with extensive experience in veterinary diagnostics and kit development, and we can customize a range of AGID kits for animal pathogen detection based on your needs. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us, we can provide you with high-quality products and services.

The Workflow of AGID Kit Development

There are many things to consider when developing an AGID kit. We can design different AGID kits for you to capture and detect the target antigen depending on your detection target. The following is the workflow of AGID kit development.
