Bovine Antibodies

In many countries, milk and beef is one of the main foods for humans. In addition, bovine serve as animal models for the latest therapies for complex diseases, such as bovine tuberculosis, which is one of the animal models for human tuberculosis. They play an important role in advancing scientific discovery and improving human health care. Bovine are raised as livestock almost everywhere except in parts of India and Nepal. Bovine tuberculosis, foot-and-mouth disease, brucellosis, bovine respiratory disease syndrome and bovine diarrhea syndrome are important epidemics that affect the health of bovine. The spread of these diseases has caused significant economic losses to the bovine industry. Therefore, bovine antibodies are essential to study the immune response of bovine and the control of bovine disease transmission.

Bovine Antibodies

The chemical essence of antibodies is immunoglobulin, whose monomeric structure consists of four polypeptide chains (two heavy and two light chains). Conventional antibodies are classified into five categories (IgG, IgM, IgA, IgE, IgD), but due to genetic and evolutionary differences, antibody types vary from animal to animal, and some even vary greatly. Bovine antibodies have unique characteristics, the ultralong CDR3 loop of bovine antibody is the longest CDR3 loop (50-61 amino acids) in other species, which is conducive to the recognition of deeply hidden epitopes. This long CDR3 loop allows bovine antibodies to more effectively attack a variety of bacteria and viruses or to capture molecular targets, especially antigens that are not recognized by conventional antibodies.

Bovine polyclonal antibody is a collection of multiple immunoglobulins produced by multiple B lymphocytes, exists in bovine serum, and can be obtained by immunizing hosts with antigens. Bovine polyclonal antibodies can recognize multiple epitopes on the same antigen. Compared with bovine monoclonal antibodies, they have better affinity and faster binding ability. They have the advantages of causing agglutination and precipitation reactions, and are widely used in immunology. diagnostic field.

BioVenic is a supplier of diagnostic reagents for animal pathogens and has been developing antibodies for a wide range of animals such as cattle, sheep and rabbits for many years. We have professional antibody preparation technicians and a complete antibody preparation platform. We can provide you with a series of bovine polyclonal antibodies and bovine monoclonal antibodies with high immunoaffinity and high sensitivity according to your needs. Our antibodies are validated by immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, Western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry to ensure the quality. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.
