Sheep Cell Surface and CD Marker Antibodies

Lymphocytes are the smallest white blood cells and can be divided into NK cells, T cells and B cells. These three types of lymphoids need to be distinguished by surface marker detection because their cell morphology is basically similar. Clusters of differentiation (CDs) are one of the most commonly used cell surface markers, which are used to identify different lymphocyte types and also act as cell surface receptors or ligands involved in antigen presentation, signaling and cell adhesion.

Sheep Cell Surface and CD Marker Antibodies

Sheep cell surface and CD marker antibodies are important for studying adaptive and innate immunity in sheep. In recent years, researchers have developed a series of antibodies against sheep CDs to distinguish sheep dendritic cells, B cells, T cells and NK cells and to study their function in blocking the invasion of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens. Common sheep CDs include CD4, CD8, CD14, CD43, CD44, CD45, etc. Among them, CD4 and CD8 can be used to study sheep cytotoxic cells and T helper cells, CD45 can be used to distinguish the types of sheep lymphocytes, and CD14 can be used to distinguish cells in the monocyte/macrophage spectrum.

Type Description
CD4 CD4 is a T helper cell marker, which is a single chain transmembrane protein.
CD8 CD8 is a heterodimer, which is expressed by the cytotoxic/suppressor subset of T lymphocytes.
CD14 CD14 is a membrane glycoprotein and monocyte/macrophage differentiation antigen. Sheep CD14 is expressed by monocytes, macrophages and peripheral blood granulocytes.
CD 31 CD31 is predominantly expressed by peripheral blood platelets and a small percentage of lymphocytes.
CD43 CD43 is a single pass type-1 transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by leucocytes.
CD44 CD44 belongs to a larger group of hyaluronic acid-binding proteins and plays important roles in oocyte maturation, fertilization.
CD45 CD45 is a signal transduction protein vital for T and B cell antigen receptor-mediated activation.
CD230 CD230, also known as the prion protein. It has two alternate forms: a normal cellular form and a disease-associated form.

As a leading supplier of veterinary antibodies, BioVenic has a state-of-the-art antibody development platform and professional technical staff. We can provide you with a range of antibodies against sheep CD marker antigens. All of our antibodies have undergone rigorous testing and quality control, they are suitable for flow cytometry, and they can detect surface markers on individual cells by adding fluorophores to CD antibodies. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.
