Cytokines are small soluble proteins produced by immune cells. Most cytokines exist as monomers, and a few exist as dimers, trimers, or tetramers. Cytokines can act as regulatory proteins that transmit signals between cells in various physiological processes such as inflammation, tissue repair, hematopoiesis, immunity, and embryonic development. They play a key role in communication within the immune system. Cytokine antibodies are important modulators of the innate and adaptive immune response and have pro- or anti-inflammatory effects that can promote or inhibit the proliferation and function of other immune cells, such as they can cause leukocytes to accumulate at sites of inflammation, infection or injury in the organism.

Chicken Cytokine Antibodies and Proteins
In the chicken industry, the widespread prevalence of poultry diseases will affect the meat quality of chickens, pose a major threat to public health, and cause significant economic losses to the chicken industry. Cytokines can serve as biomarkers of infection, disease and inflammation. Detection of the types and levels of cytokines in chickens can understand the immune status of chickens after pathogen invasion. Therefore, measurement of chicken cytokines is important for monitoring chicken disease progression and prognosis. Currently, researchers have developed a series of chicken cytokine antibodies for the study of chicken immune cells (e.g., macrophages, B cells, T cells, and dendritic cells).
