Chicken Cytokine Antibodies and Proteins

Cytokines are small soluble proteins produced by immune cells. Most cytokines exist as monomers, and a few exist as dimers, trimers, or tetramers. Cytokines can act as regulatory proteins that transmit signals between cells in various physiological processes such as inflammation, tissue repair, hematopoiesis, immunity, and embryonic development. They play a key role in communication within the immune system. Cytokine antibodies are important modulators of the innate and adaptive immune response and have pro- or anti-inflammatory effects that can promote or inhibit the proliferation and function of other immune cells, such as they can cause leukocytes to accumulate at sites of inflammation, infection or injury in the organism.

Chicken Cytokine Antibodies and Proteins

In the chicken industry, the widespread prevalence of poultry diseases will affect the meat quality of chickens, pose a major threat to public health, and cause significant economic losses to the chicken industry. Cytokines can serve as biomarkers of infection, disease and inflammation. Detection of the types and levels of cytokines in chickens can understand the immune status of chickens after pathogen invasion. Therefore, measurement of chicken cytokines is important for monitoring chicken disease progression and prognosis. Currently, researchers have developed a series of chicken cytokine antibodies for the study of chicken immune cells (e.g., macrophages, B cells, T cells, and dendritic cells). The following table shows several chicken cytokines.

Chicken cytokines Description
IL-1 Chicken IL-1 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by many different cell types, and its biological properties include induction of B-cell proliferation and, together with IL-2, stimulation of T-cell proliferation.
IL-2 Chicken IL-2 is a cytokine produced by T helper cells in response to antigens or mitotic stimuli. It is required for T cell proliferation and other activities critical for the modulation of immune responses.
IL-6 Chicken IL-6 is a multifunctional pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a major role in the regulation of the immune response, hematopoiesis and induction of the acute phase response.
chIFNα Similarities exist between chicken IFN and mammalian IFNI, with the chIFN-α gene strongly expressed after viral infection of monocytes.

As a leading supplier of veterinary antibodies, BioVenic has a state-of-the-art antibody development platform and professional technical staff. Our researchers stimulated mice and rabbits to produce antibody-containing sera with high-purity recombinant chicken cytokines as immunogens, and then purified the sera by affinity chromatography to obtain high-purity and high-sensitivity cytokine antibodies. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us. We will provide you with a variety of chicken cytokines antibodies and recombinant chicken cytokines to study the role of chicken cytokines in immune regulation.
