Details:
H10 avian influenza viruses (AIV) are found globally in wild aquatic birds and are capable of infecting humans as well as various mammalian species such as pigs, minks, harbor seals, and dogs. The extensive prevalence of H10 AIVs, along with their capability to infect multiple mammalian hosts, including humans, raises concerns about their zoonotic potential. Currently, H10 AIVs are categorized into two lineages: Eurasian and North American.
