Details:

H5N2 is a subtype of the Influenza A virus (avian influenza or bird flu virus) that affects a broad range of birds, including chickens, ducks, turkeys, falcons, and ostriches. Typically, infected birds do not exhibit symptoms, and the disease is generally mild compared to other avian influenza subtypes. However, certain variants of H5N2 are highly pathogenic, leading to occasional outbreaks that necessitate the culling of thousands of birds in poultry farms.
