Bunyamwera (BUNV), Batai (BATV), and Ngari (NRIV) are mosquito-borne viruses belonging to the Bunyamwera serogroup within the Orthobunyavirus genus of the Bunyaviridae family. These three viruses have been identified as causing disease in livestock, avian species, and humans. BUNV is found on both the African and South American continents and is known to infect both humans and animals.
