Description:
Mouse anti canine parvovirus antibody, clone 7351 recognizes canine parvovirus (CPV), a negatively stranded DNA virus which infects dogs. In some instances it is also known as CPV type-2 to distinguish it from the unrelated parvovirus minute virus of canines (MVC).
CPV is a relatively new virus, having been first isolated in 1978, which is thought to have derived from the feline panleukopenia virus (FPV). CPV is highly infectious and is spread from dog to dog by physical contact and contact with feces.
