Details:
Clostridium tetani is a soil-dwelling bacterium that causes tetanus. Although often harmless in soil or the intestines of animals, C. tetani can lead to the serious condition of tetanus if its spores enter the body through a wound. While all livestock species are at risk, sheep and goats are particularly vulnerable, with horses being the most susceptible.
