Fusarium solani is a species complex comprising at least 26 closely related filamentous fungi within the division Ascomycota and family Nectriaceae. This mold is commonly found in soil and is known for causing plant diseases as well as serious human conditions like fungal keratitis. Additionally, Fusarium solani is the sole representative of the Ascomycota fungal phylum known to parasitize hermit crabs.
