Details:
Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae is a Mycoplasma bacteria species primarily found in ovine animals, first described in 1972. Known as M. ovi, this bacterium resides in the nasal cavity and sinuses of both domestic and wild sheep and goats. It can cause primary atypical pneumonia and make affected animals more susceptible to secondary pneumonia from other agents, such as Mannheimia haemolytica.
