Details:
Mycoplasma haemofelis is a gram-negative, epierythrocytic parasitic bacterium. In blood smears, it typically appears as small (0.6 μm) coccoid bodies, occasionally forming short chains of three to eight organisms. Upon entering the bloodstream, M. haemofelis attaches to the cell membranes of red blood cells, eventually becoming partially embedded.
