Description:
Goat anti bovine insulin-like growth factor I recognizes bovine insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I), also known as somatomedin C, a 17.07 kDa growth factor belonging to the insulin family. IGF-I is produced by the liver in response to stimulus from growth hormone. IGF-I regulates cell growth and development in a wide range of tissues and organs.

Antisera to bovine insulin-like growth factor I were raised by repeated immunisation of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
