Mouse anti Sheep GM-CSF: 8D8

Description:

Mouse anti sheep GM-CSF antibody, clone 8D8 recognizes both recombinant and native ovine granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), also known as Colony stimulating factor (CSF).

GM-CSF is one of several cytokines that regulate the survival, growth and differentiation of haemopoietic cells. GM-CSF is secreted from a range of cells including macrophages, T-cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts in response to antigen, LPS or mitogen stimulation.

Mouse anti sheep GM-CSF antibody, clone 8D8 may be used as a capture antibody in ELISA assays with Mouse anti sheep GM-CSF antibody, clone 3C2 as a detection reagent for the evaluation of ovine GM-CSF.

Mouse anti sheep GM-CSF antibody, clone 8D8 has been reported to neutralize the activity of both recombinant and native ovine GM-CSF. Removal of the preservative is recommended prior to use in functional assays.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Note:

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
