Details:

Porcine adenovirus (PAdV) belongs to the genus Mastadenovirus within the Adenoviridae family. It was initially isolated from the rectal swab of a piglet suffering from diarrhea and has since been found in healthy pig feces, piglet kidney cell cultures, and the brains of piglets with encephalitis. Among the five identified serotypes, Porcine adenovirus type 3 (PAdV-3) is noted for its low virulence and its capacity to achieve high titers in cell culture.
