Description:
Rabbit anti dog interferon alpha antibody recognizes canine interferon alpha (IFNα), a 19 kDa type I interferon belonging to the alpha/beta interferon family. IFNα is produced by macrophages and involved in defence against viral infections.

Antisera to canine interferon alpha were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
