Description:
Rabbit anti pig interleukin-10 antibody recognizes porcine interleukin-10 (IL-10), also known as cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF). Porcine IL-10 is a 19.93 kDa anti-inflammatory cytokine belonging to the IL-10 family.
Secreted primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by certain T-cell subsets, porcine IL-10 functions in an inhibitory capacity downregulating Th1 cytokines, produced by activated macrophages.

Preparation:
Antisera to pig interleukin-10 were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
