Porcine Cytokine Antibodies and Proteins

Cytokines are a group of low-molecular-weight signaling proteins, which are one of the important barriers for the body's immune system to resist exogenous infection. Cytokines include lymphokines produced by lymphocytes and monokine produced by mononuclear macrophages. The known cytokines include interleukin (IL), interferon (IFN), colony stimulating factor (CSF), tumornecrosis factor (TNF), transforming growth factor (TGF), and the immune system's immune system. transforming growth foctor (TGF-β), etc. Cytokines produced after pathogen infection can regulate cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, angiogenesis and inflammatory response through matching receptors on the surface of target cells.

Porcine Cytokine Antibodies and Proteins

As a globally important food source, porcine disease management is critical to ensure pork safety and reduce economic losses in the porcine industry. Diseases caused by swine fever virus, porcine circovirus, and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infections seriously affect the health status of porcine. As a regulatory factor, understanding the role of porcine cytokines in the immune response of porcine can help control the spread of many porcine diseases. Therefore, researchers have developed a series of antibodies against porcine interleukins, porcine chemokines, porcine interferons and porcine tumor necrosis factor to investigate their role in the porcine immune response. The following table shows several porcine cytokines.

Porcine cytokines Description
MCP-1 Porcine MCP-1 is a secreted protein belonging to the CC family of chemokines, which plays an important role in the inflammatory response of monocytes and macrophages.
IL-3 Porcine IL-3 can stimulate the proliferation of monocytes and dendritic cells in combination with other cytokines.
IL-6 Porcine IL-6 is a multifunctional cytokine belonging to the IL-6 superfamily that plays a role in pro-inflammatory effects.
IL-8 Porcine IL-8 belongs to the chemokine CXC family and is secreted by various cells including macrophages, endothelial cells and epithelial cells in response to inflammation.
IL-13 Porcine IL-13 is an immunomodulatory cytokine produced by activated Th2 cells.
IL-22 Porcine IL-22 belongs to the IL-10 family of cytokines that mediate inflammatory responses triggered by bacterial pathogens.
IFNγ Porcine IFNγ is the only member of the interferon type II family, mainly secreted by activated T lymphocytes in response to bacterial and viral infections.
VEGF-A Porcine VEGF-A belongs to the PDGF/VEGF family of growth factors and induces cell proliferation in endothelial cells.
